Dialogue belongs in the picture
A centre speaker behind the screen anchors voices to the actors rather than below or above the image. Identical LCR speakers can create seamless pans across the front stage.
Perforated vs woven screens
Every acoustically transparent material introduces some combination of attenuation, combing, texture or spacing requirements. The speaker and screen must be measured as a system.
Baffle-wall integration
A baffle wall can reduce front-wall reflection and improve low-frequency loading when the speaker is designed for the boundary condition.
Leave the right spacing
Too little distance between speaker and perforated screen can create interference. Woven materials have different behaviour. Follow screen and speaker guidance, then verify through measurement.
Service access still matters
Do not trap expensive loudspeakers permanently behind decorative construction. Grilles, fabric panels and screen structures should allow access.
