WHY IT EXISTS
A height channel should still be a cinema loudspeaker.

SCL-5 extends JBL Synthesis loudspeaker architecture into the ceiling layer. That matters when the rest of the room is built around compression drivers, horns and controlled directivity.

The speaker should be selected and positioned from the Dolby elevation geometry and the actual seating area rather than simply following ceiling symmetry.

Where it fits in a cinema.

01

Atmos

Designed for a discreet ceiling installation.

ROOM DESIGN

Ceiling coordinationCheck framing, ducts, lighting and service clearances.
AnglesUse ear position and Dolby geometry to establish the speaker positions.
