WHY IT EXISTS
Smaller ceiling footprint, same system-design discipline.

SCL-8 is the smaller in-ceiling counterpart in the SCL architectural family. It becomes useful where lighting, coffers, HVAC or ceiling geometry limit speaker aperture size.

The trade-off should be evaluated against output and listening distance rather than appearance alone.

SYSTEM ROLE

Where it fits in a cinema.

01

Height layer

Useful for immersive channels in smaller and medium rooms.

02

Architectural constraints

A smaller cut-out can solve tighter ceiling coordination.

03

Matched ecosystem

Designed to pair with the broader SCL loudspeaker range.

ROOM DESIGN
Choose the room conditions before choosing the quantity.
Output targetMake sure the smaller format still meets peak-level requirements at the farthest seat.
Ceiling depthVerify cavity depth and back-volume requirements.
ConsistencyKeep height-channel placement geometrically consistent across the listening area.
