ASCENDO focuses on timing and point-source behaviour across high-output cinema channels.
A specialist reference and project-enquiry resource for serious private cinema loudspeaker systems — from point-source and line-source screen channels to active monitors, horn-loaded cinema systems, architectural surrounds and immersive height channels.

At the high end, the right speaker is inseparable from seating geometry, screen construction, target SPL, directivity, room acoustics, crossover strategy, amplification and bass management.
This site is built around that system-design process. The objective is not to collect impressive boxes; it is to create a coherent cinema loudspeaker system that remains convincing across every seat.
These products are not substitutes for one another. They illustrate why architecture, directivity, output and installation method should be selected around the room.

Wisdom uses tall line sources to reduce vertical room interaction and maintain level over distance.
JBL Synthesis and Krix use compression drivers and waveguides to control coverage at high output.
Genelec spans SAM/GLM active monitors and Smart IP speakers carrying Dante/AES67 audio and PoE power over Ethernet.
Genelec Smart IP can carry Dante/AES67 audio, loudspeaker management and PoE power over a single CAT cable. That can remove central amplifier channels and long analogue signal runs — but it makes the managed network part of the cinema audio architecture.
Acoustically transparent screens allow the front loudspeakers to sit where cinema sound was intended: behind the image. Baffle-wall design, speaker depth, toe-in, isolation, screen spacing and front-wall acoustic treatment all affect the result.

01Directivity, reflections and consistency across rows.
02Why distance, impedance and peak SPL decide headroom.
03What 60°, 80° and 100° patterns mean in a real room.
04Why the front wall is part of the loudspeaker system.
05Why placement, directivity and screen geometry matter for intelligibility.
06What changes when amplification moves into each speaker.
Send the room dimensions, seating plan, screen width and target layout. We can start with the geometry before choosing the speaker package.
